Written & Contributed by Divya Lal Teamwork means working together with others with a common objective. All the members in team come from different walks of life. All will be having different views and opinions, talents and skills, habits and weakness. Working in a team is needed in every sphere of life. Starting from school life, one is taught to work in groups. Children are divided into groups to play games, for quizzes competitions. Later they are divided in groups to make projects, for discussions etc. At corporate level also there are teams under each department with a linage to follow. Working in a group is very good concept. As while working in a team, one is open to different viewpoints and can-do brainstorming to get out with a great result. It is also economical and gives out more output than a single person. In teamwork one needs to be a good and patient listener to listen to others viewpoint. One has to be respectful and courteous and also convincing to put across his point. While working in a team at times one needs to be taking sides so one needs to have a good understanding and foresightedness. If a person is used to working in a team from early years of life, it makes a person more humble, easy to adjust to changes and more balanced. It also helps to enhance ones thinking, communication and social skills. A person who is good in working in teams will be having good inter personal relations not only in the team but in every walk of life. It helps in the growth of overall personality of a person. It helps him to grow by learning new things, dealing with different people with a common objective of doing what is best for the team. When one is working in a team it helps to bring out the best in oneself. One tries to improve oneself and keep oneself updated by working on himself to stand out in the team. It leads to healthy competition. One always keep working on himself to perform well in the team for his own success and also the success of the team. Everything comes with its own set of shortcomings. While working in a team there may be heated arguments, planning and plotting, blaming and politics. But this all can also be used to learn and grow. One should not get too effected by such things and be smart enough to deal with such things. So, in many ways we can say working in a team helps in the personal growth of a person.

Written & Contributed by Divya Lal Feeling nervous, restless or tense, having a sense of impending danger, panic or doom or having an increased heart rate, sweating, trembling and feeling weak or tired. Or having trouble concentrating or thinking about anything other than the present worry. These are symptoms of anxiety. The main causes of anxiety are social pressure, work, study, or deadline-related stress, financial difficulties. Also, what causes anxiety are relationship problems, health concerns, social and housing-related issues. Trauma due to racism or gender prejudice and abuse or neglect also causes anxiety. Now a days, the problem of anxiety is also seen in young children. The symptoms develop at young age. The environment at home is a big factor in the development of child. Children are affected by what the see and hear. One should keep the atmosphere at home pleasant and happy to raise a happy child. Sometimes the factors are not in our control, the school kids go to, the people they meet or genetic reasons. These factors affects the anxiety level of children. Specific situations or actions that lead to feelings of worry or fear are known as anxiety triggers. In severe cases, these triggers worsen symptoms to the point that an individual suffers a panic attack. Panic attacks are sudden episodes of severe and debilitating fear. Anxiety triggers can be different for each person, but many triggers are common among people with these conditions. Most people find they have multiple triggers. But for some people, anxiety attacks can be triggered for no reason at all. Taking care of yourself is an important step for managing anxiety. We all know that we need to aim for a healthy balanced diet and regular exercise to maintain our physical health. These steps are also important for our mental health and well-being. To deal with anxiety there are a few self-care tips which can be used. Relaxation training i.e., methodically tensing and relaxing certain muscle groups can help you voluntarily relax when anxiety is running high. Exercise, self-help books, and meditation also help to fight anxiety. Also, a healthy sleep routine helps one relax and perform better. A very important way to reduce anxiety is to have a person with whom you can let out or share your feelings truly. If things are not improving with these techniques, one should consult a doctor and take action accordingly.

Written & Contributed by Divya Lal Man is a social being. Humans are the only creation of God who have the ability to think and interact. It is a natural requirement of humans to socialise. Everyone is busy meeting people, running around with their daily chores. But in this busy world one requires to make important connections. The most important connection being with oneself. One needs to know about oneself. Many of us do not know about ourselves, our strengths, our weaknesses, how will we react in a particular situation and most importantly what’s our purpose. There are different ways in which we can know about ourselves and make the most important connection needed to grow. One must rise early in the morning and meditate. Morning time is the best time as the cosmos is at its highest energy level in the morning. One must sit in a quiet place with closed eyes and communicate with the universe with belief and one shall seek all his answers. For making connections one should interact with and keep positive people around. It will help you to grow and stay motivated. So, find a tribe which is essential for your personal growth. If you don’t know where you are going, you will be on a long trip somewhere else. Successful organizations and individuals have clear vision of where they are going. Having a mission helps one to grow as one keeps working to complete his aim. So find your purpose and set your goals. The connections will be made when one is open to learning from others. One needs to learn constantly and keep learning and developing new skills. Being open to learning will always put you in the continuously improving seat. Always spend some time in a day with yourself. It is called Me Time. Take out some time in a day for yourself. Do something you like doing- make a habit of writing your thoughts, walking, singing, dancing, drawing, gardening or any activity you like doing. It will help you relax and destress. Also, most important law of nature is ‘like attracts like’. So, keep your thoughts positive, think good things for yourself and for others. It is not easy to control thoughts but with continuous effort one can learn to distract the negative thoughts and turn them into positive. Another thing is not to rush things and keep them one day at a time. Focus on your present, do not look towards your past and don’t worry about future worries. Do not think miracles to happen overnight. Keeping working towards your aim, dream or goal with all your heart and belief and you will achieve it.
